Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is to ensure that I have a relationship with all my students. My students are very important to me because I struggled in school when I was younger, and I had a teacher who made a huge difference in my life. I will do that for my future students; my students will know that I will never give up on them. My students will know they are valued members of our classroom. I will teach them what they need to know and watch them grow in our classroom. When the student's light bulb goes off, this makes me value my teaching career even more. My students will know that if they make a mistake, I will be okay with it because it shows me they were trying.
Classroom Management Philosophy
My classroom management philosophy comes from Love and Logic and Conscious Discipline. Safety is my number one priority, and I will make sure that my students are always safe. Safety does a lot with Conscious Discipline. Every student is unique in their way, and I want to ensure they know that. I want to cater to their individual needs and make sure that they know I care. On the first few days of school, classroom management/rules will be taught, along with how parents/guardians, students, and teachers communicate and daily procedures.
Linked over to the right, is my Behavior Intervention Plan.
